The backup plan should be opensourcing this software for the numerous parties across the world to step in if something goes wrong. Even if someone were to create an alternative there's little chance of the community funding it over inc, either through backpay development or ongoing support.

Would be quite interested how close it is to the archived anchor code anyway.
